HEADS HELD HIGH DESPITE NUMEROUS DEFEATS

After last year's end of year 2010 smsa futsal tournament and plus the long December holiday we needed to get ourselves fit again and exercise our muscles before the next tournament. We then participated in this futsal competition which was held last Sunday at the JKR futsal hall. The competition was opened to all members of the public. We expected there would be very young, fast and agile players and these players certainly could not be compared to kind of slow and slightly less skillful players like us. Of course we did not expect to win the competition as we already knew the young boys would beat us easily. Nevertheless, it gave us crucial experience to our new players especially when the futsal tournament for teachers is already around the corner. We played for 3 games and we did not win a single game. The good news was that we did score some goals. One from Cikgu Redzuan and another one came from Neil.

We called ourselves SAFT club 30's. SAFT stands for sayyidina ali futsal team.

I was playing on that day and so i could not take many pictures. This shot was taken by Cikgu Alex right after the final match. The JKR futsal hall was extremely hot and very humid that i was sweating like candles. I even had to change my jersey twice!
