REMOVAL OF FENCE MAY BE A GOOD THING TO DO

My colleagues and i have pondered on removing this fence for a long time. It is such a hassle for us because every time we arrive at school we have to 'climb over' this fence so that we can continue on walking to our staffrooms. There is just no other path to take except for this one. Nonetheless, we could have walked all the way pass the surau and then the cleaner's room to get to the admin block to sign in but this is also troublesome as we have to carry our laptop bags and other stuffs with us before we can enter our respective staffrooms. So what most teachers commonly do such as Cikgu Nyiau, Cikgu Puasa, Cikgu Kim and many others, is that they walk to their staffrooms to put their bags first before they go to the admin block to sign in.

Suppose that this fence were removed, teachers whose staffrooms are close to this particular parking area will surely use this path such as those in the pre-u discipline room, computer labs, art staffroom and all other staffrooms except for those who are stationed in the admin block and in the career department. Hopefully, this can also be the solution to those who relentlessly park their cars in the school restricted zones. Occasionally, a number of teachers can be seen park their cars in these restricted zones purely and simply because they do not want to walk for a longer distance, albeit that there are many other parking lots available.

Rumour has it that Rimba Secondary School and Sayyidina Hassan Secondary School have removed this similar fence to exhort teachers to park their cars near to this area. Bear in mind, that these schools have the same plans as our school. So in terms of paperwork, hopefully it is not difficult to get permission.

In addition to this, a SMSA teacher who wants to remain anonymous wishes to assist the school, if permitted, to remove this fence. The school does not need to worry about fee or payment as he will do this free of charge. He insists that he wants to do charity work by contributing to the smsa community.

So all ladies and gentlemen, what do you think about the idea of removing this fence? Do you think that you'll park your car here when this fence is removed?

Need your comments,

From tired walker...

This is the fence that we propose to be removed.

"Climbing over" this fence can be quite laborious.

It could have been a just another path if that fence was not there.

This area can easily accommodate at least 20 cars.
